Is the sound coming out of iTunes now normalized or comprimised [from the original recording] to make "all the songs sound the same"?
[forgot what that new feature in iTunes is called]

There is a new option in the preferences called "Sound Check - Automatically adjusts song playback volume to the same level." So, yes, it's like a normalizer effect. You can easily switch it off if you don't like or want it.

ahh thanks!
I was hoping they didn't implement that to ALL music played thru itunes [with no option to turn it off]............
