    If it runs fast enough, I'd say this is great news. One of Microsoft's big strangleholds would finally be over.

    Even though gamers, as has previously been reported, make up a small portion of the computer using population as a whole.

    They drive several industries however. Intel showed off it's Conroe not by how fast it loads a billion page word document, but how fast it could run FEAR etc. Also, the graphics card industry, is miles ahead of where it would be if games didn't exist.
