I inserted a DVD and it did not mount. I opened DVD player manually and tried to open media. I get this error message "There was an initialization error. A valid DVD drive could not be found. [-70012] " Is there a way to manually eject a DVD?

Specs: Powerbook G4 1.25Gz OSX 10.4.7. I have a superdrive.

Shutdown. Restart while holding down Mouse button.

(Don't expect to get many replies to questions during a WWDC Keynote )

I had restarted a couple of times and it did not work but then I shut down and let it sit for 15 mins. When I fired it back up the DVD magically mounted

    It's magic!

Seriously though, my grandmother (who is actually quite computer savvy) got into the habit of smacking her G3 (running OS9) whenever it froze up. I told her that "hitting it won't ever solve anything", but one day, when OS9 has frozen solid again, she gave it a smack and immediately it started responding again.

Could be a coincidence, but it was a little too immediate of a change. Strange.
