Does anyone know how to set up Apple's Mail application to work with my gmail account?

What settings do I use for Account Information and other settings in the Preferences panel?

    A follow up question...

I configured the Mail preferences according to link above; when I try to get mail I am prompted for a password, but when I enter it, I’m told “The POP server “pop.gmail.com” rejected the password for user...”

I used the same password on Mail that i use for gmail. Gmail logs me in with that password but Apple’s Mail won’t accept it. Why?

Double check all your other settings. You mistyped something somewhere (probably your username)

Also check your gmail preference and make sure you've enabled POP in your gmail preferences.
