Free iPod w/ Mac student promo - does it matter when I get my order?
Hi, I've ordered a Mac Pro and an iPod Nano 4GB. I intend to get the $179 rebate on the Nano as part of Apple's "free iPod" promotion.
The promotion states that the offer ends September 16th; my Nano is going to arrive tomorrow but my Mac Pro is estimated not to ship until the 13th and arrive until September 20th!
Will this diqualify me from getting my rebate, or does Apple base it on the time it was ordered?

I'm ordering a 2.66GHz with all-wireless and an X1900 XT, so that equals long wait.
Good to hear!

Cool beans. I don't know how you are going to be able to wait that long.

Congrats on the system, Placebo. What are you doing with this monster?
About the rebate: It is based on the date ordered, but the forms have to be mailed in by a certainn date. When I filled out the rebate form after buying a MacBook and 30gb iPod ($90 after rebate), I had to cut out the UPCs from both the MacBook and the iPod boxes to send with the forms. This could be a problem if you're not receiving the MacPro until the 16th, since the rebate form has to be mailed by a certain date. Check the Apple promo webite and email Apple about this. If looks like everything should be fine, though, but better check and make sure.
