Apple remote desktop

Somebody next to me at work has been playing tricks on me and my computer. I guess we're running apple remote desktop because the IT people can do whatever they like to our machines remotley.

He did something with terminal to find out a few things and now has full control over my machine with apple script. He can open my cd drawer, put the computer to sleep, open and close applications, he's even had the computer talking.

What i need to know is what is the remote service called and how do i kill it? If i can't close it, is there a way i can stop him doing this without needing the admin password (we don't have those).

Please, please help.

Open System Preferences --> Sharing and uncheck Apple Remote Desktop

Actually, if no one needs access to your system, then uncheck everything here.

Next, click the Firewall tab and be sure your firewall is turned on.

That should take care of it.

At this point, you may want to set a password for your account to prevent people from messing with it.

Click on Accounts. Click Login Options. Disable automatic login.

Click on Security and see what options fit for you.

Turn on a screen saver and have it require a password to wake from sleep of from screen saver.

    Try those.
