Transferring iTunes Library from Laptop...

How do I transfer my iTunes library from my laptop to my external hard drive?

I have no space left on my laptop and I need to free up memory so I thought I would transfer all my songs to my external hard drive. This is probably pretty easy.

Please help.

    One easy way is to copy the files over and then create and alias from your current location to the external location. I think I did that at one point in time.

    Or, even easier, is to set the iTunes library location to the external drive and then click the "Consolidate Library" option in the menu. It'll automatically move all your iTunes music to the new location on the external drive.
