Hi,

Can any one suggest a good freeware app that can I scheduel backups of certain folders and apps to say a external HD? I have been looking but I'm not sure which is suitable and stable. I found iBackup which seems Ok but I'm just not experienced yet in tiger, so I would appreciate what you guys think and suggest?

Lacie and Iomega both give away free backup software with their hard drives. I've used them both and they seem okay. The Lacie one seemed far more robust to be honest so I'd go for that. I suspect that you can use them with any hard drive though I may be wrong.

The Lacie one is called Silverkeeper:

The Iomega one is called Quicksync (notice it only gets about 2 stars on version tracker):

Of course Lacie and Iomega aren't the only ones to do this. You might want to check out what other hard drive companies offer.
