Hub recommendations?

Hey guys,

I recently arrived back at university after summer break and once again came face to face with the reality that I have way to many peripherals, electronics, accessories, etc. etc. for my poor old Powerbook's ports to handle all at once.

I decided to take action and began researching suitable USB/Firewire hubs that might help me with my dilemma. While I have a few in mind (notably the Belkin Mac Mini USB/Firewire hub [http://www.buy.com/prod/MAC_MINI_USB...0412193.html]), I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations, or perhaps other solutions for my port problem.

Any suggestions?

Cheers in advance.

Last I looked at combo FireWire 400 / USB 2.0 hubs, most people recommended separate units and had reports of blowing FireWire ports on their G5 towers. For this reason alone I say get separate units. Also, the prices shouldn't be much different and you will probably get more ports.

However times may have changed so I'm curious to hear what others report.

Also, Apple makes a nice FireWire 400 / USB 2.0 hub, its called the Cinema Display.
