There's been speculation of new products coming out Sept. 5 as well as low-key releases in Paris (sans keynote). Let's do a shakedown on what we think will happen and when.

Sept. 5: Quiet update to MBP with Core 2 chips.

Paris: More public update to MB and iMac with Core 2 chips. A .Mac update seems very possible to keep customers at this massive renewal time. Maybe an iPod surprise?

Since there isn't a keynote in Paris, I really don't think that there will be any updates there - instead they will be one or two weeks before, and then touted there as the latest and greatest.

Core 2 processors are a given. Whether or not they're released at MacWorld Paris, they will be in there.

I think we need to disable the Temporary Insanity forum. It's over.

We'll see if the boss wants to have a T.I. forum for Paris or not.

Turns out there will be an Apple "Event" concurrent, but not affiliated with Apple Expo Paris. Broadcast to Apple Europe, but not necessarily the Expo.

    How odd is that.
