Merom MacBook Pro with more ram

I just saw that the new IMac has got an option to upgrade the Ram memory up to 3gb,

does this mean that we will finaly have the macbook pro with more than 2gb?

It would be the right thing for a notebook targeting pro editing

    I would like to believe the MBP will have capacity for more RAM. I was not going to hold out for the Merom update (just until I got my student loan) but since the iMacs got some other cool features like bigger RAM capacity, double layer dvd burning capability, etc, I may wait.

    I was gonna buy a mbp too but now I'll definetly wait, the sooner the better. I'm praying for the 12th!
