Question about using Ethernet in Parallels
I'm trying to start using Ethernet in Parallels to access another piece of hardware directly connected to my MacBook Pro.
I've set the MacBook and Windows to have different, fixed IP addresses. The device has an IP address.
In Parallels I enabled the Ethernet Bridge and selected the MacBook Ethernet adapter.
From OSX I can successfully ping the external device.
From windows I can successfully ping OSX's IP address.
From windows I cannot ping the external device. I get a time out.
Any ideas? I suspect I'm really close to having this work but I'm just missing something.
