MBP Future Upgradeability?
Questions that can't hurt to ask. After reading the thread "Future Upgradeability ?" it brought the same question to my mind about the MBP. How upgradable is the current box? HDD? CPU? Vid card? I know that it may be a complete shot in the dark, but any guesses on how the next box will be upgradeability-wise?

MBP - Current:
(0) RAM - Yes! and it's easy. To 2GB.
(1) CPU/Vid Card - No! (unless someone produces Logic board upgrage card for $$$ later.
Video card and CPU is soldered on the logic board.
(2) HDD - Yes! But non Trivial - see iFixit.com . NB replacement not covered under warranty
(3) Optical Drive - maybe sometime in the future. When appropiate drive become available. Also see 2.
MBP in a little while:
(0) RAM - Yes! Also possibility to >2GB+
(1) CPU/Video Card - No! (extremely unlikely ). Next Merom update 2007 has different socket and will require different RAM.
(2) HDD - Yes! It's is hoped it will be redesign to be easily replaced like MB.
(3) Optical Drive - probably same situation as MPB (maybe it's already updated)
With possibilities Apple will include FW800 or eSata in the new MBP that would give you some more options that are only avaible in the current 15" model via using the Express slot.
