search function on ipod

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
is the instant search function only avaliable on the updated ipods or is it included in the update? looked everywhere on mine after updating and cant find it.

    Only on the new ipod and nano. There has been much discussion of this on other threads already.
