Can anyone help me out? I have my MacBook Pro and my pc on a network. But I also take my MBP to school where I have internet access. Is there anyway I can ftp things back and forth between them from school and such? My computer is behind a router, standard linksys. Or is there another program that would work better?

Yeah, ftp is pretty simple after you have it setup. You'll have to find a free FTP server app, and configure it accordingly. Then you'll need to go into your router and open that port up to the incoming and outgoing traffic for it to function. This port is usually 21. Keep in mind your IP address at home may change from time to time. Home connections aren't usually given static IP's. So you may want to check that from time to time so you know you need to change it on your client system as well. Hope this helps, and good luck!
