Wireless printing over community LAN

Here in Portland, Oregon we have access to free community wireless networks (via the personal telco project, and soon VeriLAN).

My question: How can I achieve wireless printing to my USB printer? What hardware software is required? Can it be achieved with Airport Express alone?

Any advice to make this effective and simple is much appreciated.

Need more information about your setup - how many computers, access to routers.

You will need something to connect the printer to the network. This can be a wireless printer hub, a router or a computer.

If you have a computer connected to the printer and that computer is a Mac and on the wireless network, you just enabled printer sharing in the sharing prefs.

If you can plug it straight into the router or hub, I imagine it will just work. Some hubs I think need to be matched to the actual printer though. Epson sell hubs for certain models.

My setup is still being created. I just ordered a MacBook a week ago, and it still hasn't arrived. I have an HP usb printer that is compatible with Airport Express according to the Apple site.
