how do i change the associated program for every filetype?

wow, that's a confusing question.



here's the problem:



i use neo office, as opposed to MS office. but...any .doc files i have, the default program to open them is text edit. how do i change it so that every .doc file is associated with neo office?

select the file whose association you'd like to change. Command-I to open the "get info" box. Under the selection for "open with" chose the program you'd like to use. Once changed, the button "change all..." will become active. Press it and it should all be done!
