It will work. Worst case scenario you can use disk utility to format it.

    Okay put the Thumbdrive in.

Went to Disk Utility Found it.

Only Optiions are: New Info, Eject, Log, all others are faded out. When I scroll through the tabs (first aid, erase, ...) Nothing can be done.

It won't even let you partition it?

Are you selecting the drive itself on the left? There are usually two parts, the drive and the partition that is indented. If you select the drive itself, it should let you erase it.

Firstly, check if the USB pen has a write protect button on it.

Then open a terminal and try using a disk utility command to format it. You would use something like this:

    diskutil eraseVolume JournaledHFS+ <name> /Volumes/<drive name>

Instead of the <name> and <drive name>, put in what you want to call the drive and what the name of the usb pen is respectively.

The drive name is the name that appears on the indented part in Disk Utility. If you type /Volumes/ and enter the first letter or two and hit tab, it will auto-complete.

That model of USB pen has password protection. If there is a password, you can't access the disk until you unlock it. It's possible it has a proprietary system for encrypting files or something that the Mac driver can't handle.

The only way to use it might be to get a 3rd party driver. As you said, their website says it's not Mac compatible:

    http://www.kingston.com/support/faqs...aq_dt_U3_2.asp

If you had an Intel Mac, you might be able to use it via Parallels.

edit: it also looks like it's just a 64MB pen not 2GB. If it was 2GB, it might be worth the hassle trying to get it to work but 64MB pens cost next to nothing.
