iTunes 7.0.1 and iDVD "unexpectedly quit"

since the 10.4.8 update, I have had a great deal of trouble with iTunes and iDVD quitting, now expectedly I am sorry to say. Does anyone have any insight into how to resolve this problem? I have noticed iTunes quits a lot when I hit the refresh button or a podcast begins downloadinng. I would really appreciate some help on this. Oh, my computer is a PPC 15''
