macbook + VGA monitor?

i've had a macbook (1.83, 512) for few weeks now and to be honest all i use my pc for now is watching dvds.



as i gaze at this 19" LCD VGA monitor i'm wondering why i dont just use it to extend my macbook's desktop.



is it possible to extend the macbooks desktop with the use of a mini-DVI => VGA adaptor and a VGA monitor?

    Yes it is. You just plug it in. Go to SYS PREFS>DISPLAY. Arrange the displays and you are good to go.



    I plug my macbook into the VGA port of my living room TV all the time.
