Migrate data from Mac A to Mac B

Hi! Is there a way to easily migrate my applications, music, photos and such to another Mac?
Some kind of tool? I thought I heared about it some time ago but I'm lost...

Theres one built into the OS X, called migration assistant, all you need is a firewire cable.
