    Got a DV cam?

Play the tape, record it with the DV cam and import it into iMovie.

Or you could play the tape on your home stereo, walkman or whatever, plug it into the Mac's microphone port and record it in Garageband. Then export to iTunes and it will be available in iMovie's media browser. That's how 've digitised most of my records and old cassetes.
