Hey, I'm considering to get a Mac Pro, and get an extra hard-drive to install Windows on, strictly for PC games of course. Just wondering how the system works, is it just like running Windows on a regular PC? or will the games run slower, and whatnot. And also, can I plug in any graphics cards into the Mac Pro now? Whats the deal with that. Thanks

I have a 24" iMac and I am running bootcamp just for games. Runs fantastic to me. I am running Counter-strike and battlefield 2 at their highest settings without any problems - hell on counterstike im gettin over 100fps most of the time

    Good luck

My Mac Pro runs Windows games absolutely amazingly. Driving a 20" widescreen display here and BF2, Half-Life 2, and Far Cry play amazingly with tons of antialiasing and texture filtering nicities on.

Sweet . Intel is the best thing to happen to apple! now everybody wants them! (but I already have a mac, just now I can play games yay!)

Oh, one more question. Can I load bootcamp windows on an external harddrive? I'm assuming this will give me trouble though

yes you can, but realize the disc access times will be slower.

and installing windows xp under bootcamp just makes it a regular old PC inside of an apple box. works perfectly fine.

The only real thing that sucks right now is that for the Mac Pro to have perfect speed to its internal drives, you need to make a custom Windows XP disc.
