Am I able to go Mail only when re newing my .Mac account?

At the end of the day, I don't use and/or want all the other shit that comes with .Mac. All I use is the mail account. I was told I could keep that going every year for $10 annually. Is this true? I tried looking around the site to change my renew preferences but couldn't find anything along those lines.

    I think you told wrong. I believe the $10 a year is for an additional .Mac e-mail address on top of an existing membership.

    I felt the same way. Way too expensive for what you get.
