No mention of 64 bits

Has anyone else noticed that Apple doesn't seem to be mentioning anywhere that the Core 2 Duo is 64 bit?

After the fuss they made over the G5, and given the fact that this is the first ever powerbook with a 64 bit processor, doesn't it seem like an odd thing fo them to be shy about?

Possible explanations are that they want to deflect attention away from the fact that Mac OS Tiger isn't fully 64 bit optimised yet, or they don't want people to notice that the previous upgrade of machines like the iMac from G5 to intel meant they lost this capability, or that somehow they got burned by the whole G5 thing and now are trying to be a bit less vocal about the exact nature of the technology they are using, lest the next 'upgrade' forces them to drop 64 bit again.

Anyone got any other ideas why it might be? Or is it all just in my head?

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger has no Intel 64-bit support at all. It has PowerPC 64-bit support, but it cannot run Intel 64 binaries.
