Good time to buy? MBP core 2 duo

i waited and waited to make the PC to Mac jump and been keeping a keen eye since the launch of mbp...

but i think now is the time? planning to get the mbp core 2 duo 2.16 and the standard stuff, with an airport express (which i read blows up after 18 months... any alternatives?), office for mac 2004 and photoshop just to cover the basics.

im planning to only use it for music, photos and typing up bits and pieces of work.

planning to run my vaoi alongside it for now so...

anything else i need to get? ordering tommorrow!

thanks

Why have you waited and waited and waited? Macs are far better at doing what you want to do, and have been for a long time.

Any current Mac will more than suit your needs.

Airport blowing up? That's never happened in any of the macs I've owned.

Do you already have Office and PhotoShop for Windows? It would save you a lot of money to hold off buying the Mac versions until they are Intel native. You can run your Windows versions under Parallels or as a straight Windows boot with Boot Camp. Then when the Mac Intel versions of PS and Office come out you can spend your money then - I doubt that the upgrade will be free, so if you bought them now you would be paying twice.
