Sure you can buy them right from the site, but i remember a few sites I was looking at that had better prices on computers, but i cant remember ANY of them. There was also a site that tracked the prices of macs on a lot of sites...

can anyone give me the links to these sites?

Thanks

You're not going to find better prices on new, non-grey market equipment. The best you can do is go to a non sales tax site, such as Amazon. Sometimes they'll run a rebate or free shipping offer too. Apple has EXTREMELY tight inventory control. That's why you rearely see more than a $5 difference in price.

The other way to find deals is when some online sites offer bundles, like a free printer, extra RAM, etc.

    maczone.com

    macwarehouse.com

    macmall.com

    amazon.com

I just bought a 24" iMac from ExperCom. They had it cheaper than anywhere else with the upgraded graphics card.

    iMac 24" Core 2 Duo 2.16GHz 1GB/250GB/Super/7600GT 256MB/AP/BT

    ExperCom Price: $2,078.72

Cheaper than Apple. Not much, but still worth it to me.

I bought my 2 Macbooks from MacMall.com because a) no sales tax, b) shipping was dirt cheap (though not free) c)they had rebates on them that brought the price to even with my student discount (for the Black one) and only $25 more for the white one which was more than ofset by the lack of sales tax and d) they had 6 mo. same as cash.

I wouldn't go to Amazon.com. On another forum, someone was sent a used one. Which this occurence may be rare, I wouldn't do it.

Amazon is a reputable store when the product says "available through amazon". Otherwise don't buy.
