Flickering Powerbook

When my friend moves the screen on his Powerbook, he gets a flickering on the bottom third. Once he sets it in position, the flickering seems to subside, until he attempts to move it again.



I assume this is not a good thing, but it will cost close to 1000 to replace the screen. Any ideas?

I doubt it's the screen. It may be a loose connection (the moving helps), but I'd bet it's a logic board or video card issue. Take it to get checked. It'll get fixed.



Edit: forgot to add-- friend's ibook same problem last week. All fixed for $200 something. A good deal. Seems to be a flat rate with Apple now.
