If you have a mighty mouse, have zoom enabled in Universal Access, try this:
Hold down control while scrolling forward with your mighty mouse's scroll ball.
It's not really a trick but it is sorta cool. Easy way to zoom in and out quickly

Thanks! Didn't know it. Works with the trackpad on my MacBook Pro too. I have two finger scrolling enabled.

Yeah, this is a neat feature, I just use my scroll wheel on my normal mouse. Great for watching YouTube when you don't want to deal with their performance-sapping and awkward fullscreen mode: just zoom in.

That is nifty. What uses does it have though?

Zooming in on an image, or a video playing inside a browser.
