Aluminum flagship iPod?

Hey everyone,

As much as I like the flagship iPod's classic look, I know as well as anyone else who frequents these forums how prone it is to horrible scratching. Who thinks it's time for an aluminum housing for the flagship iPod? The new nano has it, so does the new shuffle... could this (please) be a trend? I think an aluminum case would look great, be scratch resistant, and... well... look great. Does anyone else share my opinion? Personally, I feel this way because I put my iPod in a case the second it came out of the box, and when I took it out to put it in a new case, it had scratches anyway. That's irritating! I love my iPod, I just wish it could look the way it does for a longer time, and aluminum housing would be a great way to make that happen.

Thoughts?

I agree, switching to aluminum bodies for the full-sized iPods is long overdue.

I prefer the look of the black and white iPods. If you look after it and apply a thin plastic iPod skin combined with a quality case it should keep its good looks until you upgrade to a new version.
