Newer DVD Drive for Macbook Pro?

Would it be possible to get one of the faster double layer DVD drives put in my Core Duo Macbook Pro, and if so, how much would it cost?

    Would there be any reason whatsoever to change the dimensions or interface of the drive between MacBook Pro models?

    The drive interfaces are very standardized now. I don't think there is any reason for it to change for the moment.



    If I were you, if you wanted assured compatibility, I would ask these people when they will get optical drive upgrades for your particular noteboook:
