How to map network drives on Mac to a Windows Network Drive

I have a Windows XP Network at home and just bought my first Mac. I plan with time to switch most if not all of the computers to Mac. I store a lot of my data on the main computer so frequently have to access these files.

On Windows XP I map these drives but I can't find out how to do this on OS X. I know I can find the network and log onto these folders but as soon as I restart the computer they are gone. Is there any way to keep this from happening?

    If you are Unix savvy, use the mount_smbfs command in your login shell script.

    not exactly the same.



    But easies way would be to select network drive, then make an alias of it. Save the pasword checked.



    And it's 1 click mountable.



    Which is acutally technically better then mapping network drives for consumer use.



    Mac's don't work like PCs.



    You don't really need to map a network drive because there is no "drive letter". So it's a GUI problem.
