Macbook pro core2duo and bootcamp

I have an external monitor, keyboard and mouse attached to my macbook pro. In MacOS mode, I can close the lid and use the mouse to wake the computer back up again for use with my external monitor, but in Windows mode it will never wake up from sleep unless the lid is open.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Do Windows computers ever run with the lid closed?

In Windows, there is a setting that tells that when you close the lid, hibernate. I think it is control panel under power management or from desktop, right click, properties and then screen saver tab and then power management at bottom.
