Spanning question

When spanning on a macbook or any hardware I guess, is there a way to either duplicated the Apple filebar (what's that called?) across the top on both screens or move it to the other screen?

    Yes, you can move the menubar to the other screen.

    yes, go to system preferences > displays > arrangement > and just drag the menubar in the little screen icons to the other monitor. works well.
