.mac smtp not responding

Anyone else having this problem?



I keep getting a timed out connection when trying to send mail through my .mac account.



Anyone else having these problems? It's been going on for well over a week now.

    This is not likely a problem, but a well-known security measure. Many ISPs block attempts to access external SMTP servers. In some cases, only Port 25 is blocked and the external SMTP is blocked. Try Port 587 instead. If this does not work, you will have to use your ISP's SMTP server.

    Well, the thing is, it just started happening recently. When I first signed up, for the first 3 weeks or so sending mail was fine. But I'll check that.



    PS: It just sent after I changed the port,
