Apple Equivalent To Sharepoint (group colaberation)?

So here at work I set up a Sharepoint portal. For everyone who does not know what it is, it's a package that works with Windows Server for group collaboration. On a portal you are able to have a section for discussions, documents, announcements, etc.

For a Windows product, the setup is painless and requires no coding of any kind and integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Office (for Windows of course).

Now back to the Apple side. We do not currently have anything that even remotely comes close to this. I know Leopard Server will include a Wiki server but in order for it to be successful it needs to truly integrate with iLife and iWork. Reading the Wiki site it looks to be pretty promising but does anyone know of any details?

I'm wondering the exact same thing. Where is Apple's equivelent to Microsoft Sharepoint? Exchange? SQL Server? Active Directory and Group Policy and their management tools, etc??? Apple needs to develop some competition in this area.

OK I just looked at the Apple Server Site, apparently the Current Server version handles Mail, it has something called Open Directory which could be their competition for Active Directory, they sound similar enough, but as for SQL Server, I can't quite remember what the hell it is. I remember doing some research on it a while ago but it seems I forgot every single detail about it.

OpenDirectory is their answer to Active Directory and from my experience it's a great solution when you use the Workgroup management tools to control logins and desktop environments in a business setting.

They have email services now but it's pretty minimal. Wait for Leopard. It looks like a few steps ahead in that regard.

it will take a lot to catch up to sharepoint. Sharepoint 2003 is a big kludge....Sharepoint 2007 is very good however, but is just now being released. It will be a very strong portal, I expect a lot of movement in the next couple of years with this one, its very very good and integrates in a most fantastic way with Office 2007.

If Apple tried at this point to catch up...it would take more than just a wiki and a website, you have to integrate an Office type of product completely for workflows, because that's really what Sharepoint is about, Office productivity.
