iChat or Adium?
How many people have switched from iChat to Adium or vice versa, and why?
One thing that I dont' like about iChat is the logging. The logs are stored in a binary format that only iChat reads. I want plain text or html logs. Things that have open standards.
Another thing that I don't like about iChat is that I can only block someone from the preferences or from the message box when someone first messages me. No where else can I block someone, which is annoying. Sometimes you just want to block someone on your list when you get mad at them and don't want to sign off completely.
As you can guess, I went back to Adium. Any other such complaints / stories? Anyone switch the other way with complaints and/or stories?

iChat is terrible and has enough bugs to make it unusable for me. I use AIM (the official client).

Same here.

Proteus.

Does it support mac.com names? I'm looking for a good alternative to iChat (other than the official AIM), but support for mac.com is ESSENTIAL since so many of my buddies are now mac.com users and since I am too.
