iPhoto to iWeb

Does anyone know why on earth Apple took something that used to be a one step process and made it a 5 step one? You used to be able to take photos in iPhoto, and publish them directly to the web (like you can in Aperture). Now, it forces you to send them to iWeb to do it. It's a nightmare. iWeb is slow, and requires you to republish your entire site every time you make a change.

Is there a simple thing I'm missing? Why would they make something so simple suddenly so complicated?

Ugh.

Rather than use iWeb for that, I've just saved my pictures to the iDisk folder "Pictures" and then gone to .mac and set it up from there. But you're right, it was much simpler before.
