    My solution? I bought a //GS for $15 at a swap meet, complete with 2 5.25" drives, and 2 3.5" drives (and screen! woo!).

    That hooks into the AppleTalk (PhoneNet) network to the B/W G3 which then can read the data into one of a number of emulation packages. (Serial line works also in most apps.)

    It's been a while since I did the conversion, so I'm not sure if I could piece it together again for you, but...

    I somewhat follow your solution, but if you are able to provide any additional specifics... Thanks

    \\\\GS -> Serial cable -> B/W G3.

    Load Disk into \\\\GS. ][e emulator app on B/W G3 can read from serial line for precisely these situations. Feed data from disk on \\\\GS over serial line. B/W G3 receives data, creates a disk image for emulator to use.

    Alternately, if you have a USB 3.5" floppy that can read the old ProDisk format, and the data is already on 3.5" disks, just plug that in to the new machine, and run the appropriate app to read the disk. Sorry I can't be of more help on this, like I said, it's been years, and the emulator arena has changed quite a bit.

    You can read ProDOS floppies in Classic.

    Download the Apple II card software, locate theProDOS extension, drop in your System Folder, hook up a USB floppy drive, insert floppy (hopefully it's a 3 1/2" - not 5 1/4!!), boot Classic, read disc!
