Just wondering when Apple will use a higher resolution LCD display (smaller pixels that are packed closer together)? Anybody hear anything on this?

Since they don't make them, I'd keep a lookout for Samsung and LG to see what's coming in that regard.

I was wondering that too. Apparently the resolution of the 30" display is already as high as DVI will support.

Apple is promoting the Unified Display Interface

This should eventually give us the bandwidth jump to support higher end LCD.

My iMac screen is pretty similar in pixel pitch to anything else out there, barring some laptop screens. The MBP's pixel pitch is pretty standard as well. Right now that means around 100 to 110 pixels per inch.
