Alpha. Awesome.

Thank you Sony, for buying the Minolta camera division. Minolta has superior metering, image stabilization, and flash technology when compared to Canon and Nikon. Now, combining Minolta technology with Sony marketing and polish and access to Carl Zeiss lenses, hopefully, we'll start getting the respect we deserve here.

I love my Alpha, which on my first day out, is already producing incredible images. It's sooo easy to use, great metering, great control, fast, long lasting battery... I just don't know what else to say, but WELL DONE, SONY.

Yeah, it looks like a great camera.

With more than a little help from Konica Minolta, Sony has successfully entered the digital SLR arena with their Alpha DSLR-A100. With a high resolution 10.2 Megapixel sensor, built-in image stabilization and dust reduction systems, and super-fast performance, the A100 gives the competition a run for their money. Despite a few annoyances, the A100 offers quite a lot -- and it earns my recommendation.
