Yup, that's the only thing that will play wmv/wma files, but it won't even play *all* the wma/wmv files because Microsoft won't give Mac users access to some codecs.

Quicktime, real player and Vlc basically covers all the major files types, including vcds.
I've downloaded windows media player for 5 mths and yet to used it...
