New shuffle replacing old one.....help

I am getting a 2nd gen shuffle for christmas. I have a 512MG on my computer now. Want to give it to my brother. Will I have any problems if I send the old one to him and install the new one later. I know the new shuffle does not come with a CD. Will Itunes recognize it as a new iPod? Will it let me load playlist set up for my old one? Will it let me call my new one the same name? Please respond if you have experience on these issues.

    The only issue that you will need to worry about is that you will have to update to iTunes 7 in order to use your new shuffle. If you're on OSX, I've heard that iTunes 7 works fine. If you use Windows, I wish you luck: perhaps Apple is readying version 7.1 to fix the numerous problems in 7.0.2.



    I still can't believe that Apple could release such tripe!
