Hey,

So this may be a stupid question but i'm going to ask it anyway. I have an .MPEG movie but it won't play in quicktime or realplayer. Is it supposed to? If not, what program should I be playing it in? If it's supposed to be playing, is their any reason it wouldn't be playing?

"VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. It can also be used as a server to stream in unicast or multicast in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth network. "

I recommend MPlayer OS X. It's more stable than VLC, and can handle virtually any MPEG or AVI file type.
