Basic .mac question

Okay, I've been debating whether to do the .mac thing, but I have one question...



I had an iTools account, so I can do the $50 thing, but...



Can I change my login/screen/user name from what the iTools name was?



Does anyone know anything about this?

    No, you can't change the name unless you just want to start a new, full-price .mac account.

    on a different note is there a way to get itools

    etc etc to see your own webdav server ?

    :confused: What are you asking, exactly? Do you mean, can you get something like iPhoto to use a different webdav server than the one with .mac? I don't think it's possible.

    i saw that link.....but on a server

    where you have your own home aka

    <a href="http://www.foo.com/~foo"; target="_blank">www.foo.com/~foo</a>

    i didnt know how webdav would handle that

    if anyone's implemented that please post

    If it's your own server, you have to install the software to run WebDAV on your system. Once you do that, it should work for iCal.

    Actually, Kesh, a WebDAV server is already part of 10.2. You just have to configure it and turn it on.

    It should be noted that step 2 (downloading mod_dav) of the first post is not necessary, as later pointed out by another member.

    That's assuming he's doing this under 10.2. He never stated, so I decided to hedge my bets in case he was referring to a Linux or Windows server.
