Funding A Mac
Hi im new to this site and to the mac world. I have heard nothing but good news about them, and now that i know they can run windows app's as well as mac i really want one.
Here's the problem im only 17 and dont have the money to go all out and just buy one. I have a job and go to collage, im doing a game dev course and my uncle said that mac's are good for running the programs that i am using at the min.
I want to sell my pc to part fund my mac, the spec's are as follows.
Intel Pentium D 945
Asus P5ND2 - SLI
1GB ddr2 667
7900GT
Hiper Modular PSU 580watts
Western Digital SATA 8MB buffer 300GB HD
19" Samsung SyncMaster 913n
Would anyone be able to tell me how much money i would get for it.
What would be better an iMac, MacBook are a MacBook Pro wouldnt be able pay for a Mac Pro.
And the best time to buy as they haven't stop upgrading them all year.

I wouldn't recommend the MacBook Pro for your situation, but a MacBook or an iMac would be a good bet.
Optionally, you could always keep the monitor and buy a mac mini, thus saving a bit of cash.
