Kill Kill Kill!

I need to kill a process. It's from a widget I installed, then uninstalled and trashed. It's running my processor really hard, and the fans on my MacBook are running. They have been doing that for the past hour. So how do I kill this process in Terminal? I know I could restart, but I would much rather learn how to kill individual processes.

You can't kill an individual process from the Force Quit menu. I would just quit Dashboard, but you can't even do that from the Force Quit menu.

Cool. I didn't think of that. Thanks Chucker. My fans have already noticeably slowed down.

As far as killing from Terminal,

    sudo killall <processname>

    or

    sudo kill <process ID>

sudo not required if it is your own process.
