Hard drive problems
Am having hard drive problems. I am backed up to a secondary internal hard drive and to an external hard drive.
My main hard drive started giving me problems a few days ago. One of the symptoms is a clicking sound from a drive (Primary or secondary????). Unfortunately, now neither the internal secondary nor the external drive shows up in the finder.
The start up disk doesn?t show ANY disks nor does Disk utility under the start up disk, so I am unable to re-install.
Booting is difficult, but when it does boot, I can see the main drive and using Disk Utility, I can see the main drive. The other two drives do not show up.
I CAN see a USB drive when I plug it into a USB port but not the external drive when it?s plugged into a USB port. The external is a new Iomega and has only been used twice (for back ups). The first backup was made using Retrospect (which crashes when I try to use it now). The second back up on the Iomega was made using SuperDuper about 10 days ago.
