How many did you buy?

Ok... How many iPods did you buy, for yourself or as gifts this holiday season?

2nd question: How many have you bought ever?

This holiday season I've bought three. A nano for my girlfriend, a shuffle for my daughter, and a shuffle for myself.

Previously I've bought a 1st gen shuffle for an ex-, a mini for another ex-, a 40GB 3g for myself and a 5GB 1st gen as well (I was an early adopter).

I've paid for seven iPods in total!

And I plan to buy myself an 80GB soon.

Two Nanos as gifts: 1 for brother & 1 for his wife.

One 20GB for myself a while ago.

    1 - 10GB

    1 - mini (daugther broke)

2 original shuffles (still being used)

2 - 30BG videos (kids got these last year for Xmas)

1 - Nano (free with an MacBook)

1 - 30GB 5.5 gen for daughter this Xmas and 3 Shuffles as stocking stuffers.

2 15GB back in the day (one for me and the wife) (one dead, one still in use)

1 20GB 4G? (first with current scroll wheel) (died)

1 20GB iPod Photo (replaced previous 20GB because they couldn't fix it - nice upgrade!... later stolen)

2 1GB original shuffles (still use)

1 80GB iPod Video (sold this)

    1 8GB Black Nano

Then this year we bought 7 silver 4GB nanos for our employees

I purchased 0 for this holiday season, and overall I have only purchased one for myself. That was a first gen nano.

    1 - 20GB 4th Gen w/ B/W screen

    1 - 40GB 4th Gen w/ Color screen

    2 - 2GB Nanos (1st Gen)

    1 - 8GB Nano (2nd Gen)

    All still working.

I didn't actually buy those all, those are just the ones someone in my family owns. I have the 40GB 4th Gen.

If I remember correctly, this has been a back-to-school special offer for students these past two Augusts/Septembers. You're mother will have to wait until next August (if Apple continues with this offer) and also enroll herself in some classes at her local college. (Though I'm not entirely sure that this offer was available in Britain, which I assume is where your "mum" lives.)

Edit -- My only iPod continues to be my 1Gen Shuffle: great little player!

    0 this Holiday spree

1 total. A 3rd gen engraved 30GB. (The absolute worst iPod combo to repair according to a friendly Apple tech)
