Anybody use Skype?

Has anybody used Skype with success? How is it different/better than AIM? I'm told that it could be useful for MACs to video chat with PCs.

Also, can somebody clarify for me exactly what Bonjour is and what it's used for?

Thanks!

I use it (Skype) regularly to talk to a friend of mine on a PC across the ocean and it works great. We can even send files to each other (we both take tons of photos).

Never used AIM so I can't compare.

I've used quite a few and Skype seems to be the best for video chat at least. My recommendation is just try them out and see what you like. They all do just about the same thing, so it really comes down to what you are comfortable using.

    Good luck!

The trouble I have with Skype is that they update the PC version far more often leaving Mac users in the dark. Macs just recently received video chat and that's driven me away from Skype.

Unfortunately my Airport Express hates my Macbook Core 2 Duo so I wouldn't really say anything about Video Quality in iChat/AIM until I receive a similar update for my Express as the one they gave the Airport earlier this month.
